Why this is a feature, not fine print
For European and Canadian organizations, “where does our text go?” is the first question - and most US detectors can’t answer it cleanly because they call out to external model providers. Because we process detection in-house on Google Cloud, the answer is simple: it stays with us, it isn’t shared, and it isn’t used to train anything.
That makes detection viable for sensitive content - unpublished journalism, exam submissions, confidential drafts - where sending text to a third party would be a non-starter.
